Screamin Coupons

So a while ago I posted about a site called City Deals. Well... I have come across another great site that offers deals too. I always love a good deal :). And I like my friends to get good deals too. This site is called Screamin Coupons and every day they will email you some type of deal. You don't have to buy it, but you can. The cool thing with this company is if you buy a deal, they give a portion back to the school of your choice. Since I graduated in education, I'm always up for supporting local schools and I get a great deal too. So it's a win-win situation. Today I just got a deal for $10 at a local restaurant for only $5. Pretty sweet! Most of the deals have to do with entertainment, restaurants, stuff like that. I know they do deals in Utah and some in California. Not sure about anywhere else.

If you're interested, go here: Screamin Coupons

Enjoy!

A little ridiculous

I really don't know what's going on, but I am officially calling this week "make sure Michele gets sick with everything week!" At least, I hope it's just a week... If you read my last post you know I was sick at the beginning of the week. Well Wednesday I started to feel great and then Thursday I started getting a sore throat... and I woke up this morning with it still here. I'm not sure what's to follow. It's getting a little ridiculous though, don't you think? I hope I feel ok tomorrow because it's the parade! I love parades :).

Ok I'll stop complaining, good things have happened this week. Dan made it home safely. And Wednesday, the night I did feel well, I went to the carnival with some of my siblings and then my sister and I went to the art museum- I'll post pics once I get them from her. And also, Dan and I found this really yummy cafe last night in Spanish Fork. And I got drenched in the downpour yesterday, which I actually thought was hilarious. It was raining/hailing so hard! Hmmm... maybe that's how I got this sore throat...?

this week...

This week has not been the best week of my life. Why? Because Dan has been in Seattle on a business trip and I have been here. I had all these plans of shopping, errands, making crafts, cleaning, etc. in order to keep myself busy while he was away. But guess what? I did none of these things. Why? Because I had a very unwanted visitor... named... the Stomach Flu. So instead, what did I do? Let's see... I spent way too much time in the bathroom (I'll spare you the gruesome details), I laid on the couch, I laid on my bed, I slept, I drank a lot of gatorade, I ate soup, I ate crackers, I slept some more, I watched tv, I watched movies, I did not wear makeup, I did not do my hair, I missed Dan, and one day I got enough energy to walk out to get the mail and to see the light of day. That has been my past two days. But I do have to say I have a great family, because Monday my sisters came and took care of me and watched a movie with me and Tuesday my brother and his wife fed me (once my stomach could handle it) and my sister-in-law watched Gilmore Girls with me. Those were the best times of the last two days... that and the times I got to talk to Dan. But... I'm sure glad today is here because I woke up feeling good and Dan comes home! And I'm going to a carnival (more to come on that later). I might even go shopping, run errands, clean my house and do crafts. So goodbye stomach flu, you can leave now!

p.s. Side note, I'm pretty sure any time Dan goes out of town, something bad happens to me! Luckily he doesn't leave town often. But last year I got into a car accident and this year I was sick! I guess he can never leave again, unless I'm with him :)

Hello June!

It's June! I love June! June means summer! To kick off June, I thought I'd start w/ a long blog post. The blog post is about May. Goodbye May, thanks for the long weekend.

It was a fun, long weekend :). On Friday we went mini golfing @ Trafalga. I can't tell you how many times we have gone to Trafalga to play mini golf and ended up just playing arcade games instead because the line for mini golf is too long. But this time we did it, we stood in the long line! Plus I've never done their indoor course, only their outdoor course. So here we are (you can't really tell we're at the mini golf place- but we are!)

On Saturday we went to lunch with my sister, Noelle. We went to Magleby's Fresh, which we love! It is one of my favorite lunch spots in Provo. Then I took Noelle shopping for some wedding stuff.

I also made a strawberry pie this weekend! It was so yummy. I have been wanting to make one for a long time, so I finally did. It was super easy too! I even took a pic b/c I was proud of myself for being so domestic :).

On Memorial Day we had a family BBQ. It was so much fun! I wish I had taken pictures (I'm hoping to get some from my sister). We had a lot of fun eating, chatting, and playing w/ our nephews. We also made sure to put up our American Flag (we got one for our wedding, but never put it up before).

And one last thing I did, I got us tickets to Stadium of Fire!

I'm really excited about it. For those that don't know, it's a huge fireworks show/concert on the 4th of July in Provo. This year the main performer is Carrie Underwood. We both think she is pretty good (not huge fans or anything) definitely one of the better American Idol winners. But hey, the last time I went the performer was Taylor Hicks (who? haha... one of the not so great American Idol winners...) and I still had a fun time! The fireworks they do are awesome. I'm excited b/c I tried to get us tickets a while ago, but all of the cheap ones were sold out (I really didn't want to pay a ton). But then luckily I got an email from them saying they released even more tickets last week and they were even cheaper! Yay! So I got them! If you wanna go, maybe they still have some left. Now I'm getting excited for 4th of July (it's Dan's favorite holiday). Plus we get to spend it w/ my parents too! Hooray! Maybe I can convince them to go to the big Provo parade w/ us :).
