This summer I am looking forward to a lot of things... my parents coming back, Noelle getting married, family reunion, etc... I was also looking forward to getting a new phone. Because Verizon upgrades every 2 years, right? Wrong! They actually upgrade every 20 months! Who knew? Well I didn't until Sunday when my friend, Tara, informed me at church. This means my free upgrade came in March and I didn't even know it! So last night for our FHE activity Dan and I went and picked out new phones. Dan hasn't upgraded his phone in FOUR years! I'm not even kidding, he just never found one he liked. But I finally pushed him to pick out something new- especially since his phone would ring only half of the time when I would try to call him... old, broken phone!
Anyway, this is the phone I picked...
Isn't it cute? I thought so. It's a Chocolate Touch (I really liked the name). I am still trying to decide if I like the touch screen. I'm always pushing buttons I don't mean to push! Oh well, let's hope I get used to it. Dan got a much less high tech phone. He's so funny, he just wants something that will talk and text. That's it! None of the bells and whistles. Which I am actually grateful for- it's nice having a husband who doesn't want to spend money on all the latest and greatest technology. He's got his nice tv and he's happy :). Plus Dan says he works on a computer all day long and doesn't see why he would need/want to be connected to the internet at all times. I love my husband. I'm also proud of him for getting us sweet deals on our phones... let's just say he's a great negotiator.
And last thing... UPS tried to deliver my sewing machine yesterday but I was gone! I'm staying home all day and cleaning, just to make sure I don't miss it!
I just realized this post makes me sound spoiled! haha... I promise I don't always get this much new stuff. But it's true, Dan does spoil me. And I'm fine with it :).

i'm SEW excited!
I just ordered a new sewing machine! I have been wanting to get one for a very long time and I finally did. I love sewing but I haven't had a machine since high school. I'm hoping I can remember everything. I have been telling Dan for the longest time that I wanted to get one so he said once we got our tax return back I could. Well it finally came so I ordered it today and I can't wait for it to get here. I already have two or three projects in mind.
This is what it looks like...
I made sure to do my homework before ordering. I think it's a pretty nice machine and it has gotten excellent reviews from users. Now I just have to wait for it to get here!

Love is in the air...
So my little sister, Noelle, just got engaged today! I am so excited for her and Jared! They are a super cute couple :)
She doesn't have a blog, so I figured I'd post the news on my blog. Neither of them read my blog anyway, so they'll never know!!! Here's a pic of the happy couple...
They are thinking of getting married the end of July. Hooray! I can't wait to help them plan :)
And other fabulous news... I got a lime ricki swim suit yesterday! It's super cute! We happened to be in SLC, so we stopped by the store and I picked one out. Also while in Salt Lake, I got to hang out with some of my best friends from high school. I love seeing them! It has just been one great weekend!

Smoothies
lately I have been into finding good deals (if you haven't noticed). And when I find a good deal, I like to share it. So here is my deal of the day... free Jamba Juice! I love smoothies!
Just click on this link and print off the coupon...
http://www.jambajuice.com/20thcoupon/index.html#
It's buy one get one free. I always like those b/c they work out perfectly for Dan and myself. Maybe we will go there for FHE tonight :). I like the sound of that!
And FYI... Speaking of smoothies, McDonald's new smoothies aren't all that good. The strawberry banana is better than the wild berry though. In case you ever get one...

Update.
So, I just ordered my citydeals certificates yesterday and it said it would take 4-6 days for delivery. Well, I went and got the mail today and surprise- they were already here! I love citydeals even more now. This means we can use them this weekend! Yay!
And another thing I got in the mail today, my Netflix movie! I highly enjoy Netflix too. I love getting a movie in the mail every few days. And it's super cheap too ($8.99/month or something). No wonder all the Hollywood Videos and Blockbusters in the area are going out of business.
Last thing, I finally got our Disneyland trip all planned. It took me forever to find a hotel! I wanted to save money, but didn't want to stay in a gross place. I know, I'm tough to please. But we got a sweet deal through Priceline @ the Holiday Inn- only 1 block from Disney :). Now just a month of waiting.

CityDeals
I have something to share with all of you. It's called citydeals.com. Maybe you've heard of it and maybe you haven't. It's a site where you can buy gift certificates to places at a discounted price. It has places all over the country. Lots of restaurants, entertainment places, etc.
So... today I was looking at the deals and usually I just look at them and think to myself "hmm... i should get that, what a great deal." But today, I actually did get something! And I'm quite excited b/c I feel like I got a great deal. As you probably know, Dan and I like to go out at least once a week. So I figured, if we're going to go out, we might as well save some money, right? So I bought 2 gift certificates. One was a $25 giftcard to Terra Mia (a pizza place in Orem we've been wanting to try) and the other was a $25 giftcard to Maria Bonita (some Mexican place in Orem- we're always looking for a good Mexican place). Anyway, I only paid $12.50 for each giftcard! Pretty good, right? So my total was $25.99... the .99 was for shipping. Pretty great for 2 nights out! I think so anyway, considering that is usually what we pay for one night out...

If you already know you're going out, you might as well buy a giftcard for it and save some money! The only bad news is, I just saw they had a giftcard to Los Hermanos- which we went to last weekend! Wish I would have checked their site before we went! Oh and it takes 4-6 days for delivery, so you should plan ahead. Good luck finding sweet deals!
