picture time!

Last Saturday we went to my friend Alyse's wedding reception. At her reception she had the coolest thing ever... a photo booth! I've never seen one at a reception before, but apparently it is the new big thing for weddings. Basically when you walk in, you step into the photo booth and get 4 pictures taken of you. The pictures are then printed out in a strip like any other photo booth. The great part is, 2 strips are printed- one to go into a book for the bride and groom and one for the guests to keep! We loved it. Once it printed, they put it in the book and then let you sign by it. Another great thing is they put the photos online after the event. Here are a few of my favorites....As you can see we had a fabulous time- and the photos were unlimited, so we made sure to take lots. I love these girls! They are some of my best friends and we've known each other our whole lives! It's fun now that we are all getting married and luckily our husbands all get along too :)

You've gotta try it!

For those of you in the Provo/Orem area, Dan and I suggest you try this new place...

We went there Thursday night and we thought it was delicious! The hamburgers have a lot of flavor and their fries were our favorite part. If you go, definitely get the smashfries and eat them with their fry sauce. Dan said they were the best fries he has ever had. He liked them so much, he wanted to go there again for lunch the next day!

The one in Orem is across the street from the Univ. mall. I think there are a few others in UT too. And just blogging about it is making me hungry!

Valentines Weekend

First off, i love my husband. A lot. Let's just get that out there. I mean, this post is about Valentines day, so I should first and foremost mention my love, right? :)

To start out the festivities, Dan came home from work on Friday with a huge basket of... something... He pulled it out from under his jacket and it really surprised me! I wasn't expecting anything early. After peeling back layers of cellophane and tissue paper I found delicious cookies! A cookie basket; i loved it! We then sat and ate huge, soft, snickerdoodles together. yummy!

Saturday we went on a date. We saw the movie "When in Rome." Which we both really liked! It had funny parts and cute parts and was quite a good chick flick, if you ask me. We then tried to go to Carrabbas for dinner. We have only been there a couple of times, but I loved it both times, so I thought it would be a great place to go. However, the wait was over an hour. So... plan b. we went to Goodwood BBQ, which is always one of our favorites. And the wait was only 25 min. It was delicious as always and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Which i love.

Then came Sunday, the real day of love. I got up a little early and decided to make Dan breakfast. My mom always made us heart shaped pancakes when we were younger, so I wanted to try it. Well... mine didn't really turn out like hearts at all, but i tried! We then had church at 11:00 (the perfect church time) and we were ready a little early. Since Sunday was a beautiful, sunny day, we decided to walk to church! I love walking to church and I want to every Sunday (as long as it's not freezing). We are so lucky we only live about 2 blocks from our church. Plus, we get to walk by this farm and look at all of the animals on the way. The yaks are my favorite. I told Dan i liked them because i liked their bangs. haha. After church i decided to make a little scavenger hunt around our house for Dan to find his present. i cut out lots of hearts and put clues on them- and all of the clues rhymed. Dan eventually found his present, which was a game called "Lost Cities" that we like to play together. He then gave me my present, which was a movie (a chick flick neither of us had ever heard of, haha). For dinner I made Dan prime rib, one of his favorites! I had never made it before, but it actually turned out delicious!

Then on Monday (yes, the festivities still continued) I was shopping with my sister, Noelle, and we went to the grocery store. We saw that all the valentines stuff was 75% off. So we each bought chocolate :). I just couldn't resist! That night Dan came home with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me (tip for everyone: flowers are way cheaper the day after- and i don't mind prolonging the holiday). The flowers were tulips & stargazers- two of my favorite flowers! I loved them because they were different. And now I will end this post by saying... I love my husband. He's the best.

my craft blog

So... a long time ago I decided to start a craft blog. Which I did, but then I neglected it for school. Now that I have free time, I've decided to give it a little more attention. Pretty much I have changed the whole thing.

Take a look @ it and let me know what you think. Anything you would add/change? I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks :)
