A few people have told me they tried to comment on my blog but it didn't work.  Sad!  I hate to miss out on comments.  I just changed my comment settings to see if it would help the problem.  So if you tried to leave a comment and it didn't work, will you try now and see if it works???  That would be fabulous.  Thanks :)

It looks like a house!

Ok here is another blog post about our house!  I just can't believe how fast it is being built.  Every time we visit it always seems like they have made so much progress!  It is really an exciting process to watch.  Here is the picture we took this evening, it is starting to look like a real house!

You may have already seen the pics on facebook, we usually take them on Dan's phone and then he uploads them right away.  But some people don't have facebook, so here are the latest pictures!

Now that it is all framed it's fun to see exactly how big it will be.  It seems much bigger than when they just had lines spray painted on the dirt!  Our backyard seems huge now too.  Our realtor told us he thinks it is the biggest yard in the whole community.  Of course some of the yards are extremely small... so relatively speaking it's large.  Today Dan worked out the fence they will be putting in too.  So once that is all in, then we'll really be able to tell the size of our yard.

I am getting so excited for our house to be done!  And then you all can come visit :)

Making progress

We just got back to St. George tonight.  I was in Northern Utah for about 10 days.  When we got back the first thing I wanted to do was see the progress of our house!  Last I saw it, it was a bunch of dirt.  They had dug out parts of it, but not much was there.  Today I was surprised to see this:

I feel like they are really moving fast!  It is so exciting!  These pictures are of what will be the basement.  I have a feeling the next few months you may get sick of seeing all of the house pictures I post.  But I really want to document the process.  Looks like we are on schedule to finish in August :).  Can't wait!

busy, busy

Sorry i am bad at blogging!  I feel like its been a while.  This week has just been so busy.  We came up to Northern Utah for a family reunion last Saturday, then I ended up staying here for my Grandpa's funeral and one of my best friends is getting married this Saturday in SLC.  So I've just been hanging out with my family up here for the week.  Dan was here for the reunion but headed back to George (as my nephews call it) for work.  It's been fun being with family, but i definitely miss that husband of mine!  I am so excited i get to see him tomorrow. 

While I've been up here I've had a lot of fun though.  The funeral went well and I saw a lot of family I haven't seen in a long time.  I've also spent a lot of time with my mom.  We went to Zupas (i miss it in st. george so much!), shopping, and to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.  I also went swimming in my parent's pool with mom, sister in law, nephews & cousins, and i'm going again tomorrow with more family.  I also babysat some of my cute nephews and I helped my parents plant their vegetable garden.  It sure has been busy!

Now I'm just looking forward to seeing Dan tomorrow and all the wedding festivities!  Plus my mom and I are checking out the Bath & Body Works sale :).  That's all for now! 

My Grandpa

One of the more recent photos I have of my grandparents.

Today my Grandpa passed away.  He was 92 years old.  He lived a long, full life.  Even though I will miss him, I am so happy he is reunited with my Grandma.  I am grateful to have the knowledge that I will see him again one day.

He spent countless hours doing genealogy and temple work.  I have a feeling he had hundreds if not thousands there to welcome him and thank him for what he did for them.

The last time I saw him was in March on his birthday.  Dan and I took him balloons.  He was so happy to see us and I'm glad I was able to see him then.

He even told me I was his favorite grandchild once.  I said "i'm your favorite???"  He laughed and just smiled and said "one of my favorites".  I have a feeling he said that to all of us.

My Grandpa always took an interest in my life and loved to talk to me.  He always wanted to know what I was doing and what was going on.  He truly cared for each of his children and grandchildren and always took the time to talk to all of us.  In fact, he was kind to everyone he met.  He would always strike up a conversation with anyone.

He was a great example to me.  I love you, Grandpa!
