coupon

Dan and I are going to lunch today and we are using this coupon.  If you like Olive Garden, you should check it out.  Seems like a pretty good deal :).  I just came across it on their website.  This is Dan's way of paying me back for always adding up his employees hours for him.  Can't wait to eat some of those delicious breadsticks!

private

Just made my blog private today, I hope you all got an invite and were able to find it again!  I've been thinking about making it private for a while, and finally did it.  Hopefully I don't lose any readers!  I was just thinking with posting all of this new house stuff, I probably shouldn't just post it for all to see.  Probably best to keep where I live off the internet, right?  Maybe paranoid, but better safe than sorry :)

Best Splash Pad

This past weekend my brother and his wife came to visit us with their cute boys.  They have 4 boys, but only 3 were here.  The oldest was in AZ visiting his grandparents.  We had such a fun time with them and always love when they come to visit!

Friday night we got pizza and ate it at the park by our new house.  We then showed them how our house is coming along.  We also went swimming.  My sister in law, JanaRae, loves swimming!

On Saturday we visited the splash pad in downtown St. George.  It is so much fun!  I think the boys really loved it.  It is by far the best splash pad in St. George.  It has a big fountain area (like Gateway in SLC), but it also has a shallow river and small waterfalls for the kids to play in.  It is great for all ages too.  When we have kids we will definitely take them there all the time.  The other great thing is they just put a carousel in near the splash pad. After the kids were done playing they rode the carousel.  We got home and rested a bit then headed over to the pool for more swimming!

Andrew (don't worry, he is wearing some kind of swim diaper)

My brother, Mark.  He took this photo and I had to post it!
Favorite aunt and uncle right here :) haha
Jake on the carousel
They chose me to be the adult rider to go with the kids.
Once it started moving Andrew cried and wanted to get off!
I felt bad, but there wasn't much I could do!
On Sunday they attended church with us.  It was fun because Ryan came to Sunbeams with me.  JanaRae also visited my class with Andrew for a bit because he hates nursery!

Thanks for visiting, guys!  Hopefully next time you come we have a new house to show you :)

California Trip

Ok I'm finally posting something non-house related.  Recently we spent about 9 days in California for a family reunion.  We had lots of fun!  The first day Dan and I went to Lake Tahoe and enjoyed a day just the 2 of us.  We then headed to the reunion house for a week.  It was located in a small town outside of Sacramento where gold was first discovered in CA.  Then we stayed in San Jose with Dan's family for the 4th of July.  Here are some pictures of our adventure (i made collages to try and fit in more pics):

At Tahoe we rented bikes and rode them to the beach, an ice cream shop, and this aquarium thing.
At the reunion we did lots of fun activities!
Although it was a lot of driving, we really enjoyed the time spent with family.  I also loved Tahoe, I could have stayed there all week!  Now that the month of June is over we will mostly be home the rest of the summer getting ready to move in August!

We just took this photo a few days ago.  We had a meeting because we have reached the half way point and Ivory wanted to make sure things were exactly how we wanted.  Things are on schedule to be done end of August.  Hooray!

p.s... sorry all the house posts!  i will be posting other things shortly...
