Easter

Since Claire's blessing was on Easter, we mostly did Easter stuff the day before.  The Easter Bunny hid baskets for us, then we went to our neighborhood park for an Easter egg hunt and lunch, we spent the rest of the day with my family and that evening my sister, Jannifer, my nephew, Chase, and I all dyed Easter eggs.  Thanks Jannifer for most of the pics :).

Blessing Day part 2

My brother in law sent me a few more pictures of Claire's blessing.  He has a really nice camera so he was our photographer for the weekend.  Here are a few more of Claire's special day.  Thanks Jared for the great pics!

2 months

Happy 2 months to Claire!  She even survived her 2 month shots.  Here are her two month pics!  I really didn't think she had changed much in the last month, but then I compared pics and she has definitely changed!

I worked SO hard to get a smiling pic!  And her hair looks really red in this photo!  It's actually more of an auburn color. 

I love this look because these are the kind of looks she always gives me when I'm trying to catch a smile.  The minute I pull out my phone she gives me this "mom, why are you pointing that thing at my face?" look.

2 months:

• Claire still really likes bath time and taking walks.  
• She also still likes to eat... check out those chubby legs! :)
• Claire loves sucking on her hand.  Sometimes I think she's going to put her whole fist in her mouth!
• Claire loves smiling at Dan and me and makes the cutest noises now! 
• She seems to be happiest in the morning after she has eaten.  That's when we always get the biggest smiles and best coos.
• I think she definitely recognizes us now. 
• Claire has rolled over twice on our bed, only when I'm sitting next to her which causes the bed to slope a little bit.  
• She likes her swing a lot more.  She loves watching the little birds go around and around.  
• This past month Claire learned how to break out of her swaddle!  Then she wakes up and doesn't know what to do.  
• I have decided her favorite primary song is "I Love to See the Temple."  Whenever I sing it to her she gets a big smile and tries to "sing" along.  It's so cute!
• Claire is so great when we run errands.  She usually always falls asleep in her car seat.  I finally feel like I can get some shopping done!  
• She is starting to notice her toys more. 
• This past month she survived heat rash. Poor girl!

I just love seeing Claire learn and grow!  She is becoming a lot more interactive.  Both Dan and I absolutely adore her!  It has been a great month for us!   

Blessing Day

This past Sunday was Claire's baby blessing.  It was such a great day for us!  It was fun spending time with both of our families and we're grateful to all those who came and supported us.  It was also really fun because it was Easter Sunday.

During her blessing Dan said she was wide awake just looking around.  She did such a great job as did Dan.

1 month

I can't believe Claire is already a month old!  Here are a few pictures I took of her yesterday.  I had planned on making those cute onesies with numbers on them for each month, but never got around to it.  In fact, I consider it an accomplishment that we even got pictures taken yesterday :).  

Here are a few tidbits about Claire at 1 month old.  It's more for me so I can always remember what she was like at this age.

1 month:

• Claire likes eating, bath time, tummy time, being held, her pacifier, going on walks outside, music (especially primary songs), light and staring out the window.
• She dislikes the nasal aspirator, and getting dressed.  
• She tolerates her swing and bouncer, but doesn't love them.   
• Claire is a good sleeper and sleeps well at night (lucky me!)
• Claire gets fussy when mommy eats chocolate (sad, I know)
• A few places she has been in the past month... the doctor's office, Target, Old Navy, Apollo Burger (mom and dad's first date night!), Church (we sat in the foyer), Daddy's office, and Grammie & Papa Joe's house.
• Claire survived jaundice and getting her tongue-tie clipped.
• Claire is starting to make big smiles at mommy and daddy!    

We love our sweet little one month old!
